The goal of the New Green Grove Church of Faith youth department, often referred to as Youth Kingdom Movement, is to provide the youth with the opportunity to grow spiritually, mentally and socially. This growth will allow the youth to have a holistic perspective on life and to be productive, Bible-led Christians in a constantly changing society. The youth department consists of youth leaders and mentors who take pride in discipling and assisting youth and young adults in obtaining spiritual growth and also identifying their God-given gifts and talents.
At NGGCOF, a youth member has several very intriguing opportunities to pursue including but not limited to From Boys to Men, Think Like A G.I.R.L. (ages 8-18), the praise dance ministry, Vacation Bible School, church lock-in (sleepover), family fun night, church picnic, youth Sunday School and Bible Study classes, the sanctuary choir, Children’s Church and special services such as Youth Day and baccalaureate service. The youth ministry also provides the youth with an annual fun day outing to reward them for their good behavior, scholastic achievements and church attendance and involvement.
Additionally, upon high school graduation, a youth member is eligible to receive the NGGCOF book scholarship at an institution of his/her choice. The book scholarship is forwarded directly to the respective institution’s business and financial aid offices.
