Mission Statement
The Congregational Health Ministry of New Green Grove Church of Faith believes in the healing power of God through His Son Jesus Christ. We believe God created us for His glory. We believe God has pre-ordained, pre-destined, justified, and glorified this call to service. We further believe that God has called and equipped this ministry with the essential tools to do the work of the ministry. Therefore, our mission for the Congregational Health Ministry is to bring wellness and wholeness to the body of Christ and community through divine healing, health promotion/disease prevention through screenings & partnerships with local healthcare providers, community agencies, national health organizations, and others who will assist our church membership and the community to become empowered in order to maintain wellness, improve health, prevent disease, and manage chronic health conditions.
Vision Statement
New Green Grove Church of Faith is a people of faith in God, living a righteous life, and is whole in mind, body, & spirit; empowered with knowledge and information as they access healthcare with the goal of supporting wellness, improving current health, or managing chronic health conditions.
The New Green Grove Church of Faith Health Ministry, formally set up in June of 2010, held its 1st Comprehensive Health and Wellness day on August 24, 2010 in the Nettie Hawkins Fellowship Hall. In partnership with the Mississippi Delta Health Collaborative, other health care agencies, and healthcare providers, the event supplied free health screening test, health related information, and sweat from exercising for the 75 participants. This event also received local media coverage. Since this date to present, the New Green Grove Church of Faith Congregational Health team has conducted many health screenings, provided lots of health information, and has presented hands-on demonstration workshops such as first aid, self-breast/testicular examination, prostate education, and bullying.
The Health Ministry team consists of a certified nurse practitioner, registered nurses, licensed practical nurse and other clerical staff.
